As Yalova Marine Services, we are doing your EEXI calculations. If your score does not meet EEXI requirements (MARPOL Annex VI MEPC.335(76) EEXI regulation) you should apply EPL or ShaPoli Solutions to limit engine power.

After we receive class approval for our EEXI TECH FILE, we can start the process. There are two ways to do this:

1. Physical EPL Implementation:

   • Physical EPL IMPLEMENTATION will be carried out by our engineers on board the vessel.

   • After the application, application photos and the length of the limiting bolt will be added to the OMM PLAN.

     The final version of the OMM PLAN will be sent to the class for informational purposes.

     The EPL process will be completed.

   • It will take 5 days to prepare the EPL TECH FILE + OMM PLAN after the EEXI TECH FILE approval.

   • Physical IMPLEMENTATION will be done whenever the ship is available and can be completed within a week with good planning.

2. SHAPOLI Implementation:

   • SHAPOLI consists of a kW meter/display mounted on the shaft. It limits the power by sounding an alarm when it reaches a determined kW value. The disadvantage is the price and recording user-independent overloads in an unalterable way.

   • Delivery time is a minimum of 5-10 weeks

   • The advantage is that we can activate the product without any details such as SHOPTEST.

We have arrangement with a class approved ShaPoli maker. Delivery time is much more shorter and price is competetive.

ShaPoLi is an add-on to on-board performance management system to comply with

• The module monitors propeller shaft power and sounds an alert in the wheelhouse if the shaft power exceeds the EEXI calculated maximum power.

• The system enables crew to report on periods where the limit was exceeded.

  The ShaPoLi package contains

• Shaft power meter

• Data collection system

• ShaPoLi application

• 8’’ touch pane screen located on the bridge, fitted with a built-in buzzer
